FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 9 A.M. PST, February 2, 2007 IRVINE (WESTPARK) RESIDENT MARIE-ANNICK COURTIER CO-AUTHORS THE SAINT-TROPEZ DIET Newly published book, to be offered as a 2007 Grammy Awards gift, was showcased in the VIP Lounge at the 2007 Golden Globe Awards in January.
IRVINE, CA, FEBRUARY 1, 2007: Irvine resident Chef Marie-Annick Courtier, an award-winning French chef, has teamed with a top international biochemist to publish The Saint-Tropez Diet, a delightfully chic, sensual and well-researched way to stay slim and healthy and celebrate great food while dining with healthy ingredients. The book, now available at local book stores and at Amazon.com, will be offered as a gift at the 2007 Grammy Awards. The book was showcased in the VIP Lounge at the Golden Globe Awards last month.
In the book, Chef Marie-Annick Courtier shares her culinary tips and easy-to-prepare recipes that deliver on the pleasures of eating. Even chocolate and wine are considered de rigueur in the Saint-Tropez Diet. Co-author Dr. Apostolos Pappas explains key principles of the Saint-Tropez Diet — high amounts of omega-3s, vitamins, and anti-oxidants found in fish, olive oil, walnuts, fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole grains — and how to use the principles to maximize weight-loss and health benefits.
Over the past few months, numerous published studies have reported the benefits of Mediterranean-type diets in reducing the risk of heart attacks, stroke and Alzheimer’s Disease. But the secret ingredient in the Mediterranean diet has always been much more than just the combination of nutrients and whole foods, as any visitor to Saint-Tropez, the French Riviera’s crown jewel, will tell you. The art and beauty of food are also the key to the diet’s success. The Saint Tropez Diet weds the Mediterranean way of healthy eating, nutrient-based disease prevention, weight loss and weight management with the legendary French Riviera’s secret ingredient: pleasure.
